Testimonials

Greg Boston, Accountant, Atlanta, US.
I looked around at the various books on Amazon and fell across this DVD. I actually bought both versions (which you don't need to as the Advanced version has all of the content of the Essential plus another 20 minutes or so).

My main concern was whether this would be senior enough for my level, and whether it just covered "the basics", but I was really surprised. The DVD is aimed at all levels and gives great advice on the psychology of the interview, as well as great tips on creating fantastic rapport with the interviewer. Throughout the interview I felt really calm, and even more in control as the interview went along. It gave me plenty of ammunition on how to deal with those dreaded moments of any interview.

Prior to the interview, I didn't think that I had the experience to land the job that I was going for, but the DVD gave me some great tools to sell myself and I was offered a second interview very quickly. When it came to negotiating the offer, I used the techniques advised to improve significantly the original job offer (something I would never have done previously). All in all, probably the best £20 I have ever spent.

I believe it is best to judge products like this on results, not on the hype. I purchased this DVD to help me for an interview with a major blue chip company. A friend of mine had found it useful as preparation for a job interview they had a month or so ago. I found the content to be highly relevant to my situation and I learnt insights that I had never encountered before. To cut a long story short, I got the job and I benefited hugely from this DVD. Thank you Expert's Guide... you have helped me move my career to the next level

This DVD is invaluable for understanding what is important to interviewers and how to prepare. The DVD flows through each step from deciding to change jobs, making the application, the interview, and negotiating the deal. Advice is freely given by experienced interviewers, company bosses, headhunters etc. - each adding their unique experience and perspective. The advice would work well for any level of job from £10,000 to £100,000.

I had not applied for a new job for 6 years and felt that things had moved on since I last used my old job interview books. I watched the DVD over and over and listened to the experts. Imagine the confidence of going into an interview when you know that you are well prepared with the latest advice! All the interviewers said that my preparation was immense, and they had never anything like it before - though I did not over-sell myself. I gained the new senior role that I wanted. Well recommended.

This DVD / CD combo completely changed my view of the interview process and made me feel very positive about it and this increased my confidence and reduced my anxiety. No platitudes and rehashed cliche's - just real answers and advice in clear and easy to use sound bites. Thanks for a truly excellent product.

This DVD provides advice from writing a CV to the actual interview process. It places the need to celebrate the challenges that individuals have encountered during their career and the essential need to present this in a positive way. Each 'focus' is broken down into small manageable stages that provides time for useful reflection. The guidance is very specific and coaches individuals in ways to ensure that they can demonstrate the breadth and balance of their abilities to ultimately achieve success! My confidence level has already increased after watching the DVD. Expert's guide to interview skills is a very useful resource that I strongly recommend!

This DVD has been recommended to me by a friend who knew I work as a head-hunter, but also as an interview coach. The advice on how to prepare and impress at the interview is brilliant - having worked in recruitment for a few years, a lot of information presented on DVD was not new to me, however I still got out a lot of value for myself.

A section on building rapport and deeper level advice on interview preparation was particularly useful to me - it was good to hear opinions on what works and what does not from senior professionals with extensive experience in the industry. I will certainly recommend this DVD to all of my clients.

I was recommended this DVD by a friend who got a job as a result of the advice on it. I wasn't sure whether to go for the 'essential' or the 'advanced' version as I couldn't see the difference at first, so if it is unclear, the advanced version has about an extra 20 minutes of content and comes with a CD for listening to in the car on the way to interview, (a sort of last minute preparation and pep talk). I actually downloaded it onto my iPod, and was able to listen to it just before entering the building where the interview was.

The advice is excellent, well structured and gave me a real edge wile in the interview. The section on building rapport was particularly useful, covering many things that I wouldn't normally think about. I was much calmer and organised as a result, and felt at ease throughout the process. The other sections that stood out for me were 'planning & preparation' and 'negotiating salary'.

As I haven't been for an interview for quite a few years, and as I was changing industry, I thought that I would struggle in any interviews and have to take a big pay drop. As it was I was very confident, and was offered the job the day after my interview.
