Developing the art of communication for recruitment consultants
Just like any personal relationship the art of communication becomes important when trying to move that relationship to a deeper level.
Carl Jung focused much of his work on the development of the introvert and extrovert theory. Both being at different ends of the spectrum but converging when the introvert become an extrovert and extrovert becomes introvert.
Within the recruitment office different communication styles can loosely be attached to certain roles (being careful not to stereo type too much!), for example it is possible that the finance director will have a different style to the sales or operations director?
Within the recruitment sales environment it is important to be aware of your own style before contemplating others, once you have this awareness you can start to look at other communicating options.
To understand yours or your teams style a relatively simple test can be taken during training and group discussion will help assist in developing a greater empathy for the different ways of communicating.
What style does your team have?
